This website is
designed using Microsoft FrontPage 2003 for use with Internet Explorer
6.0. It is also designed for monitors set at a minimum of 800 x 600 pixels with
at least 24-bit color (32-bit preferred).
Most links on this
site will open in the same browser window, but some will open a new window. When you are done with that section,
all you need to do is close that particular browser window.
The fonts
currently used
are True Type (designed for the PC): "Arial"
(for the text body) and "Prose
Antique" (headlines, banners, etc.). If you do not have these fonts available on your computer, you may
see the pages displayed differently than designed. While "arial" is a
common font, "prose antique" is not. If you would like the font "Prose
Antique" (antiquen.ttf) so
this website will appear as designed, it is available for download
here (unfortunately, we do not currently
have Mac versions of this type available).

The designer of this website calibrates their
monitors
using ColorVision's Spyder2PRO
The following grayscale targets and use descriptions
are provided by the indicated URLs |

Before viewing images on this site, please
adjust your monitor using these charts. In most cases,
"contrast" (gain) should be set to maximum, but you may have to
reduce it if the black lines in the white square become blurred.
Then adjust "brightness" (black level) such that the center of
the black square is just barely lighter than the surrounding
area. You should then be able to see all 26 levels in the
white-to-black strip.

DPReview calibrate their monitors using Color
Vision OptiCal at the (fairly well accepted) PC normal gamma
2.2, this means that on our monitors we can make out the
difference between all of the (computer generated) grayscale
blocks below. We recommend to make the most of this review you
should be able to see the difference (at least) between X,Y and
Z and ideally A,B and C.

How
do I print a hard copy from the OCPA
websites?
back
to top
While you can use
your browsers print feature, the best way to
generate a hard copy (print) the sections you want is to highlight the text
then copy it and then paste it into your favorite word processing
program.

Why are email addresses
not "Hot" or "Linked"?
back
to top
Email address shown
on OCPA's websites are
not "active", "linked" or "hot" (meaning that you
can not click on the address and your email program automatically opens). This
is done for our member's security to help prevent spammers from getting the
email address.
However you may run
across addresses that either have an extra space before and after the
"@" symbol; and/or an extra space around the "." or
"dot". Or they may have
"nospam@" following the normal "@" symbol. This is done to
help prevent web crawlers from finding address and selling them to spamers. Just
remove the "nospam@" or extra spaces when you are emailing these people.
There are many programs out in cyberland that
search websites for email address so those addresses may be added to spam
mailing lists. By not "activating" or "hyperlinking" the
addresses and using "nospam@" or the extra spaces in the address,
it helps minimize
this possibility. We're sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause you.

PC Users: To download a file,
position the mouse pointer on the item link you want and hold down the right

- If you right click a link in Internet Explorer and the options to
"Save Target As" and "Print Target" are grayed out, this might be
because the Content Advisor is enabled. You can disable Content
Advisor or work around the problem using the instructions in KB

Do I need Adobe's Acrobat Reader or can I use another
program?
back
to top
Most documents available for download on this website use
the Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format. Adobe's free Acrobat Reader is the
most common way to read/view these files.
However, there is another free pdf reader
that we recommend, it is the FOXIT READER. The Foxit Reader is small (the
download is less than 1MB), so it downloads quickly. It doesn't need any
installation, so you can start to run it as soon as you've downloaded it. And It
starts up immediately, so you don't need to wait for an annoying "Welcome"
screen to disappear.
Foxit Reader is extremely easy to use, just double click it
to start and then click open button to open your PDF document. If you want to
print, click on "Print" button. If you want to change the page layout for
printing, select "Print Setup" from "File" menu.
Foxit Reader runs on Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP/2003. It is
provided by Foxit Software Company, free for non-commercial use. This product is
provided AS IS without any explicit or implicit warranty.
